Install TeoCast and prepare your licensed or Demo Mode setup
Follow this guide to install TeoCast Automation, confirm the required application folders, import a license file and safely update an existing installation.
Before installation
Make sure the computer is ready before running the TeoCast installer.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Permission to install desktop applications
- Enough free disk space for the application and station audio
- A working main audio output device
- Your TeoCast license file when activating a licensed copy
Install TeoCast Automation
Use the official TeoCast installer supplied with your download.
Open the installer
Double-click the TeoCast installer and approve the Windows security prompt when it appears.
Review the installation information
Read the terms and installation notes before continuing.
Allow required components to install
The installer may install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 when it is not already available on the computer.
Complete the installation
Wait until the installer confirms that TeoCast Automation has been installed successfully.
Launch TeoCast for the first time
Open TeoCast Automation and allow the initial folders and settings to be prepared.
Open the desktop shortcut
Use the TeoCast Automation shortcut created by the installer.
Wait for startup to finish
Do not click playback, streaming or scheduler controls until the main interface has finished loading.
Confirm the application mode
TeoCast will show the licensed product state or Demo Mode, depending on the available license.
Activate TeoCast Automation
A licensed installation uses a TeoCast license file supplied after purchase.
Open the license or activation screen
Use the activation option provided inside TeoCast Automation.
Select the TeoCast license file
Browse to the supplied .teocastlicense file and import it into the application.
Confirm the licensed state
Verify that the license details are accepted and that Demo Mode restrictions are no longer shown.
Keep a secure backup
Store a backup copy of the license file in a secure location outside the TeoCast installation folder.
Using Demo Mode
Demo Mode allows you to explore the main workflow before purchasing a license.
Session limit
Demo Mode is designed for evaluation and has a limited operating session.
Library limits
Demo Mode supports a limited number of music and station-content items for testing.
Streaming limit
Demo Mode is intended for evaluation and does not provide the full licensed streaming configuration.
Audio Processor access
The built-in processor can be opened and evaluated, while some advanced controls may remain limited.
TeoCast application folders
TeoCast keeps station data, licenses, logs and other files inside a dedicated application folder.
Data
Stores the main TeoCast station database and application data.
C:\TeoCast Automation\Data\License
Stores imported license information separately from the main database.
C:\TeoCast Automation\License\VoiceTracks
Stores or supports recorded voice-track files used by TeoCast.
C:\TeoCast Automation\VoiceTracks\Logs and Backups
Stores important diagnostic logs and available backup files.
C:\TeoCast Automation\Logs\Update TeoCast safely
Install updates without removing existing station data, license files or other important user content.
Close TeoCast completely
Stop playback and streaming, then exit the application before running the update installer.
Create a backup
Back up the TeoCast data and license folders before installing an important update.
Run the latest official installer
Install the update over the existing copy unless TeoCast support provides different instructions.
Verify after updating
Open TeoCast and confirm that the station database, license, playlists, voice tracks and settings remain available.
Common installation and activation problems
Try these checks before contacting support.
Installer does not open
Confirm that the download completed, then right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator.
.NET Framework prompt
Allow Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 to install, restart Windows when required and run the TeoCast installer again.
License file rejected
Confirm that the correct .teocastlicense file is being imported and that the file has not been renamed or modified.
TeoCast still shows Demo Mode
Restart TeoCast after importing the license. If the issue remains, contact support and include the exact message shown.
Data missing after update
Close TeoCast and check the Data and Backups folders before importing or replacing any database file.
Application blocked by security software
Verify that the installer came from the official TeoCast source, then review the security-software notification before allowing it.
