Organize station audio and build reliable broadcast playlists

Understand the library content types

Import each audio item into the correct TeoCast category so the scheduler, playlist and station workflow can use it properly.

Music

Songs used for manual playlists, saved playlists and Music Clock rotations.

Commercials

Advertising files assigned to scheduled commercial breaks and Ads Clock positions.

Station IDs

Short station-identification elements used between songs, programs and commercial breaks.

Sweepers

Branding and transition audio used around music and advertising elements.

Beds

Background audio used for talk breaks, voice segments and other production purposes.

Voice Tracks

Pre-recorded presenter audio managed through the Voice Track workflow rather than the standard music library.

Prepare audio before importing

A clean folder and naming structure makes the TeoCast library easier to search, schedule and back up.

Use clear file names and correct title and artist information
Separate music, commercials, station IDs, sweepers and beds
Remove incomplete, damaged or silent files before import
Keep a backup copy of the original station audio
Avoid moving imported files without updating the TeoCast library

Recommended: Use one main station-audio folder with separate subfolders for each content type.

Import audio into the library

Use the Library import controls to add one file, multiple selected files or a prepared group of station content.

Open the Library panel

Select the required content category before beginning the import.

Choose the import option

Select the audio files that belong to the current library category.

Allow the import to finish

Large imports may take time. Avoid closing TeoCast or starting another bulk library action until the process completes.

Review the imported rows

Check Title, Artist, Category and Time before using the content in a playlist or scheduler clock.

Supported import workflows skip duplicate files instead of adding the same item repeatedly.

Organize and maintain the library

Keep the database clean so searches, playlists and scheduler clocks remain dependable.

Search the library

Use the search field to find items by title, artist or other visible information.

Use categories

Organize music into useful rotation groups rather than keeping every song in one large category.

Select multiple rows

Use multi-selection when removing or managing several library items together.

Remove obsolete items

Remove old commercials, outdated station IDs and files that are no longer used.

Removing a library row does not replace a proper backup. Confirm that the item is no longer required before deleting it from the library.

Preview and cue audio safely

Preview content before placing it on air, especially after a new import or metadata change.

Confirm the Preview / Cue Output

Make sure preview audio is routed to the correct monitoring device and not to the main on-air output.

Select an item

Choose the music or station element that needs to be checked.

Use Preview or CUE

Listen for correct audio, clean starts and ends, and the expected title and duration.

Stop preview playback

Stop the preview before selecting another monitoring task or changing the preview device.

Build the playlist queue

The playlist queue controls the upcoming order of music and station elements during normal playback.

Add items from the Library

Select the required tracks and place them into the playlist queue.

Review the order

Arrange the queue in the intended broadcast order before starting playback.

Preview a queued item when needed

Use the playlist-row CUE control to check a track through the Preview / Cue Output without placing it on air.

Remove incorrect items

Use the row delete control for tracks that should not remain in the queue.

Insert a DJ Talk Break when required

Use the playlist-row context option to place a manual talk-break marker after the selected item.

In Manual Mode, loading a full playlist replaces the current manual queue. Review the queue before starting or continuing playback.

Create and load saved playlists

Save prepared song pools so they can be reused without rebuilding every track selection.

Prepare the playlist

Add the required songs and review the list before saving it.

Save with a clear name

Use a name that identifies the format, rotation or program purpose.

Load the saved playlist

Choose the required playlist from the saved-playlist browser.

Review the loaded order

TeoCast can shuffle a saved playlist when it is loaded so the same saved song pool does not repeat in an identical order.

Commercials are not part of saved-playlist shuffle. Scheduled advertising is inserted separately by the Ads Clock workflow.

Common library and playlist problems

Use these checks when content does not appear or behave as expected.

Imported file is missing

Confirm the selected library category, remove active search text and check that the import completed successfully.

Duplicate was not added

TeoCast may have detected that the same file already exists in the library.

Preview is silent

Confirm the Preview / Cue Output device and test another known working audio file.

Wrong audio plays on air

Stop playback when safe, review the queue order and verify the selected title before restarting.

Saved playlist order changed

Playlist shuffle on load may be enabled so the saved song pool plays in a different order each time.

File path is no longer valid

Restore the original audio location or remove and re-import the item from its new folder.
