Build a complete 24-hour music and advertising schedule

Learn how to prepare Music Clocks, assign Ads Clock breaks, review the day schedule and keep automated programming organized.

24-Hour Schedule 15-Minute Clock Blocks Music and Advertising

Understand the Scheduler workflow

The TeoCast Scheduler combines music programming and advertising breaks inside a clear 24-hour planning interface.

Music Clock

Assign saved playlists or music-library sources to scheduled time blocks for automated music programming.

Ads Clock

Assign commercials and supporting station elements to scheduled advertising breaks.

Time Clock

Shows the full broadcast day in 15-minute positions from 00:00 through 23:45.

Day Schedule Preview

Displays the planned schedule so assignments can be checked before they are used on air.

Important: Build and test the schedule before relying on it for unattended broadcasting.

Prepare the required libraries

Scheduler clocks depend on properly organized content in the main TeoCast libraries.

  • Import and organize music into useful library categories
  • Create saved playlists for program-specific music pools
  • Import current commercials into the Commercial library
  • Add Station IDs and Sweepers for break branding
  • Remove expired or incorrect advertising files
  • Preview all critical station elements before scheduling them
Missing or renamed source files can cause scheduled items to fail. Confirm that all library paths remain valid.

Create a Music Clock assignment

Use Music Clock to decide which music source should be used at a scheduled time.

1

Open the Scheduler

Launch the separate TeoCast Scheduler window and select the Music Clock area.

2

Select a time block

Choose the required quarter-hour position in the 24-hour Time Clock.

3

Choose the music source

Select the saved playlist or music-library source that should supply tracks for the selected block.

4

Apply the assignment

Save the clock assignment and confirm that the selected block now shows the expected programming status.

5

Repeat for the broadcast day

Continue assigning music sources to the required time blocks.

Saved playlists can operate as reusable song pools. When shuffle on load is enabled, the same pool can load in a different order.

Create an Ads Clock break

Use Ads Clock to assign advertising to the correct 15-minute break position.

1

Open Ads Clock

Select the advertising clock view in the Scheduler.

2

Select the break time

Choose the required time position from 00:00 through 23:45.

3

Add the required commercials

Select current advertising files from the Commercial library and place them into the break.

4

Review duplicate prevention

Confirm that the same commercial has not been assigned repeatedly by mistake.

5

Save the break

Confirm that the Time Clock status now indicates an assigned advertising break.

Review the Break Builder order

Break Builder shows the content order for the selected advertising break.

Station ID

A station-identification element may be automatically selected for the break.

Sweeper Opener

An opening sweeper may be automatically rotated before the assigned commercials.

Commercials

The assigned advertisements are shown in their intended broadcast order.

Sweeper Closer

A closing sweeper may be automatically rotated after the advertising content.

Check the selected break details carefully. The Time Clock itself should remain a quick status view rather than displaying every ad title.

Use Day Schedule Preview

Review the completed schedule before using it for automated playback.

  • Confirm that required Music Clock blocks are assigned
  • Check that advertising breaks appear at the correct times
  • Verify that no outdated commercials remain in the schedule
  • Confirm that Station ID and Sweeper content is available
  • Check quarter-hour priorities at 00, 15, 30 and 45 minutes
  • Review the full day for empty or unintended blocks
Do not rely on a schedule that contains missing source content or unreviewed advertising assignments.

Run and monitor the schedule

After the schedule is prepared, verify that the main TeoCast application follows the intended programming workflow.

1

Save Scheduler changes

Confirm that all Music Clock and Ads Clock edits are saved.

2

Open the main TeoCast application

Verify that the required libraries and playlists are available and synchronized.

3

Start with a supervised test

Observe at least one music assignment and one advertising break before leaving the system unattended.

4

Review the playlist queue

Confirm that scheduled items are inserted in the intended order and that current playback is not interrupted incorrectly.

5

Monitor the History panel

Use playback history to confirm the date and time when scheduled items entered the on-air player.

In Manual Mode, Ads Clock can insert scheduled advertising after the current song without cutting active playback.

Common Scheduler problems

Use these checks when a clock assignment or break does not behave as expected.

Music source is missing

Confirm that the saved playlist or library source still exists and contains playable music.

Commercial break is empty

Reopen the selected Ads Clock time and confirm that advertisements were saved to the break.

Old commercial still appears

Remove the outdated item from the Commercial library and review the affected break assignment.

Station ID or Sweeper is unavailable

Confirm that the required Station ID and Sweeper libraries contain valid files.

Schedule does not update

Save the Scheduler changes, verify live library synchronization and reopen the affected view when necessary.

Unexpected queue order

Review Music Clock priority, saved-playlist shuffle behavior and the exact Ads Clock break time.
