Import and position pre-recorded voice tracks with precision
Learn how to add recorded presenter audio, use the Cue Editor, place Voice In and Voice Out tracks, preview the result and keep transitions clean around song intros and outros.
Understand the Voice Track workflow
TeoCast uses pre-recorded presenter audio that is imported and assigned to a playlist item. The voice track can be positioned around the song intro or near the end of the song.
Voice In
A presenter segment positioned near the beginning of a song, commonly timed to finish before the vocal begins.
Voice Out
A presenter segment positioned near the end of a song, commonly timed around the outro or before the next item starts.
Cue Editor
Used to review the waveform and set timing points such as Vocal In, Vocal Out, Cue In, Mix Out and Audio End.
Preview / Cue Output
Used to listen to the voice-track result without sending the preview to the main on-air output.
Prepare the voice recording
Record and edit the presenter audio before importing it into TeoCast.
- Use a clean recording with minimal room noise
- Trim long silence from the beginning and end
- Keep the voice level clear and consistent
- Avoid heavy clipping or distortion
- Use a clear file name that identifies the presenter or segment
- Store a backup copy outside the TeoCast VoiceTracks folder
Import a pre-recorded voice track
Add the completed presenter recording through the Voice Track panel.
Open the Voice Track panel
Use the Voice Track button in the main TeoCast interface.
Choose Upload or Import
Select the pre-recorded voice file from your computer.
Review the Voice Track list
Confirm that the imported title and duration appear correctly.
Preview the recording
Listen through the Preview / Cue Output before assigning it to a playlist item.
Set song timing in the Cue Editor
Accurate cue points allow TeoCast to position the presenter audio around the most useful parts of the song.
Vocal In
Marks where the lead vocal or main content begins near the start of the song.
Vocal Out
Marks where the final vocal or main content ends near the outro.
Cue In
Sets the usable starting point of the song when leading silence or unwanted audio should be skipped.
Mix Out
Marks the preferred transition point where the next item may begin.
Audio End
Marks the true end of usable audio for the current song.
Waveform review
Use the waveform and playback controls to confirm each marker before saving the song cue data.
Assign Voice In or Voice Out
Attach the selected voice track to the correct playlist row and choose the required position.
Use Voice In for presenter audio placed near the start of the selected song. The playlist row shows a teal Voice In badge.
Use Voice Out for presenter audio placed near the end of the selected song. The playlist row shows a violet Voice Out badge.
Select the playlist row
Choose the song that should carry the voice track.
Open the Voice Track assignment menu
Use the available row action or context menu for Voice In or Voice Out insertion.
Select the recorded voice file
Choose the required item from the imported Voice Track list.
Confirm the playlist badge
Verify that the correct Voice In or Voice Out badge appears on the selected row.
Preview the complete result
Test the song and voice-track timing before using it on air.
Confirm the preview device
Make sure the Preview / Cue Output is not routed to the main broadcast output.
Preview the target song
Listen around the Voice In or Voice Out trigger point.
Check music ducking and recovery
Confirm that the song lowers smoothly under the presenter audio and returns to the expected level afterward.
Adjust markers when necessary
Return to the Cue Editor if the voice track overlaps vocals, starts late or finishes at an unnatural point.
Important Voice Track playback rules
TeoCast follows safe playback behavior when the user manually seeks or changes position during a song.
- A Voice In or Voice Out track plays only once during the current song session
- If the user seeks past a pending trigger, that voice track is skipped
- Seeking back does not replay a voice track that was already skipped
- If a voice track is already playing and the user seeks, the voice track stops
- Music ducking and volume are restored after the voice track stops
- The next normal song session can use the assigned voice track again
Common Voice Track problems
Use these checks when the imported recording or assignment does not behave as expected.
Preview is silent
Confirm the Preview / Cue Output device and test the original recording outside TeoCast.
Voice track does not trigger
Confirm the correct playlist badge, song cue markers and that playback has not already passed the trigger point.
Voice overlaps the vocal
Adjust Vocal In, Vocal Out or the selected Voice Track position in the Cue Editor.
Voice track starts too early or too late
Review Cue In, Mix Out and the visible waveform timing around the selected trigger.
Music does not return to normal level
Stop preview or playback safely, then test the assignment again. Contact support if ducking does not recover.
Imported item is missing
Clear active search text, confirm the import completed and check that the original file still exists.
